Outside of the “Chicago” motif, the “Bred” theme is another well-received colorway in the sneaker community. So much so, it has inspired a plethora of silhouettes, making its presence known on the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2, of course, the fans favorite, Air Jordan 4, and many other Nike silhouettes, to name a few. In 2017, the Air Jordan 8 joined in on the fun with its Bred-inspired colorway. This was the first time the Bred motif made its mark on the profound Air Jordan 8. The shoe arrived covered in a mixture of black leather and suede upper with cement grey detailing outlining the shoe while Gym Red accents further highlight the shoe on the tongue and outsole to finish the look. Though the Air Jordan 8 tells the in-depth story of Mike sealing his third champion off his first three-peat with the Chicago Bulls, the Air Jordan 8 Bred was not a hot seller in retail stores; in fact, the shoe sat in outlets for weeks before finally selling out.
Fast forward to 2020, three years after its initial release, the Air Jordan 8 “Bred” is now fetching for a hefty price on resell markets such as StockX, Stadium Goods, and Flight Club. Let us know below in the comment section if you would like to see Jordan Brand give the Air Jordan 8 “Bred” the retro treatment in the coming years or leave this one in the past.
