In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Nike Sportswear releases its annual Dia de los Muertos collection. The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 Día De Muertos, which will be released in October 2023, is a fascinating addition to this group.
This pair of shoes is a classy blend of Black and light ivory. The shoe is made entirely of high-quality leather that has been distressed to pay homage to the ancient antiques that can be found across Latin America. Embroidered floral motifs on the toe box and sides give the Air Jordan 1 a distinct off-court aesthetic. On the outer side of the heel is a decorative feature in the form of a skull topped with a headdress made of feathers. The ornate costumes worn by carnival revelers in Colombia and other Spanish-speaking countries may have inspired this new golden element. Formula 23’s sole unit is constructed with a continuous gradient from Black to Pale Ivory to complement the upper’s appearance.
