It’s no secret that the Air Jordan 11 is arguably the most iconic and sought-after style of all-time. Originally released in 1995, featuring a patent leather wrapped trimmed mid-cut, ballistic mesh upper, carbon fiber spring plates sitting atop a translucent icy sole, the Air Jordan 11 was the choice of shoe that helped Michael cap off the 1995-96 Championship. Today, the silhouette is widely popular due to its rich history and innovative design.
This point leads us to present another PE courtesy of House of Heat offering us the Air Jordan 11 Oklahoma Sooners PE. However, we can’t fully call these a concept since an actual pair exists. So being a Jordan Brand athlete does have its perks. The idea all stemmed from a trip to Mexico; Blake told Joe La Puma from Sneaker Shopping. “The XIs were from that Mexico trip … Some of us had won a bet against Jordan, so we got to pick our own colors. It’s hard because there are so many colors already and colors coming out. So I made a shoe, and they were like, Well, we have this one coming out—kind of similar. So I just went back to Oklahoma roots and did Crimson and White. [The bet] was part of our team-building thing.” the rest was history from there. I think we’re going to let the shoe and color speak for themselves, so take a look below and let us know what you think of these Air Jordan 11 Oklahoma Sooners PE concepts in the comment section and if the Jordan brand should release these. Sidenote; considering how difficult it was for Blake to get those made, we don’t think we’ll see these releases anytime soon, but let’s all keep our fingers crossed.
