The Swoosh brand intends to maintain its tradition of releasing the Doernbecher Freestyle sneaker collection on a yearly basis, with the forthcoming Air Jordan 3 Doernbecher “Hugo” being one of the six distinct footwear offerings included in this series.
Hugo “Juice” Covarrubias Molina drew inspiration from the Seattle Seahawks’ navy blue and slime green uniforms when designing the Air Jordan 3 for this collection. The hue around the foot fades downward, nodding to the young patient’s moniker. Furthermore, the hang-tag of Juice’s products reveals his fondness for expensive gems because it is embellished with a spectacular 24-carat gold plating. Hugo finds tremendous inspiration from the words, “It is acceptable to embrace one’s uniqueness,” displayed on his shoes as he deals with the difficulties brought on by his Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome.
Expect the Air Jordan 3 Doernbecher Hugo to drop at select Jordan Brand shops and Nike.com on December 3, 2023, as shown in the images below. Retail is set for $210.
