In 2018, Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 3 Tinker, which is based on the original sketch of the Air Jordan 3. After a couple colorways, including the JTH White Cement colorway that released during Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Halftime performance. In 2019, it seemed like Jordan Brand was going to drop the Air Jordan 3 Tinker, but we will be getting a Black Cement colorway.
This is not what we expected. Instead of giving the iconic Black Cement 3 with a white Nike Swoosh. Instead, Jordan Brand is giving us a brand new colorway. The shoe features a Black suede upper with a Black elephant print as well. The Nike Swoosh and tongue is dressed in 3M.
our thoughts
JB knew what we wanted here. We wanted the typical Black Cement 3 as the base, they went ahead and gave something that looks closer to the Air Jordan 3 “Jordan Max Atmos” from 2017. It’s not that bad, but considering that the BC 3 last year, we were definitely expecting to see iteration of that model. The 3M Nike Swoosh is probably my favorite feature on this model. Not saying this will sit forever, but considering the Air Jordan 3 Tinker is sitting on retailer websites ($180 on Finish Line), but I don’t expect this to be a tough one to cop on release date.
