Jordan brand continues to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5 with the recent release of the “Alternate Grape” colorway, setting the new standard for the “Grape” series that’s been a staple for the silhouette since 1990, the original release of the Air Jordan 5 “Grape”. While a slew of Air Jordan 5 releases are still on the calendar for later this year and next year. Sneaker-designer @jayzrdead took it to Instagram to display his latest work tweaking a few minor details around with the classic silhouette. Borrowing inspiration from the original AJ 5 Grape, Jayzrdead swaps its traditional all-white leather upper for an “Emerald” hue generally found on the shark teeth, moving the grape accent to the shark teeth, tongue, sock liner, and Jumpman logo branding. To finish things up below, a black midsole and translucent outsole complete the look. Check out these Air Jordan 5 Emerald mockup below and let us know if you would like to see Jordan Brand release these in the near future.
