Jordan Brand previewed their upcoming spring lineup for 2022 from January through March if you have been out of the loop. It involved a variety of jaw-dropping color schemes on our favorite retro silhouettes. But one major thing that stands is the noticeable retail price increase! Jordan brand has slowly but surely been raising the price of our favorite past releases, but the sad truth is we didn’t even stop to realize it because we were too focused on just acquiring a pair for retail! With the resell market growing daily, it’s almost a privilege to purchase a sneaker at the store via raffle rather than paying twice or even three times the retail price in the aftermarket. The infamous Air Jordan 1 High OG will stay at $170, while other models have already been raised upwards to $200 and above. A personal issue that Jordan Brand needs to figure out is that if you’re going to raise the retail price, it should be mandatory to improve the quality of the sneakers. For example, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High 85 Neutral Grey had a “premium” price of $200, and the quality of the sneaker was identical to an average Air Jordan 1 Mid!
