The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Rio is set to drop in the summer of 2024; it is J Balvin’s fourth sneaker collaboration with the Jordan brand. The “Colores Y Vibras” Air Jordan 1 debuted in December 2020, marking the beginning of the J. Balvin partnership with Jordan Brand. Soon after 2022, the Air Jordan 2 debuted, and in 2023, the Air Jordan 3 “Medellin Sunset” hit shelves.
A touching tribute, “Rio” is named after J Balvin and Valentina Ferrer’s son, Rio, born in June 2021. The specific connections to his son are currently unknown.
Black, Solar Flare, and Total Crimson Abyss are rumored to make up the Air Jordan 3 “Rio” colorway. Although no images of the sneaker have been seen in the public domain, we can assume it will include a black upper, a gradient midsole, a translucent heel tab, and J Balvin’s emblem. In addition, there will be special touches that honor Rio’s unique culture.
Expect the J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Rio to drop at select Swoosh shops and Nike.com in Summer 2024, as shown in the images below. Retail is set for $250.
