Official Look At The Air Max 97 Shanghai Kaleidoscope

Air Jordan Shoes For Boys

air max day 2019 looking fuzzy.

In 2018, Nike had the “On Air” collection, which was an opportunity for people to connect with Nike, and create their own shoe in hopes that it’ll release in 2019. It was held in 6 cities across the world, and each city picked one winner. Now in 2019, we will see all 6 shoes release. First look we have today is the Air Max 97 Shanghai Kaleidoscope.

This shoe was designed by Cash Ru. This shoe is inspired by the clouds in floating along the Shanghai skies as they shift and dissipate to create new forms and shapes. The shoe features a suede panel on the bottom, with a Blue Transparent upper. You can also see the Nike branding in Red, as well as White accents on the laces, tongues and outsole. One o my favorite details is the multiple pull tabs on the back, as well as the top of the tongue.

our thoughts

My personal favorite from the On Air Collection is the Seoul Air Max 97. But this pair might just be the most creative, and hit its theme the best. The translucent upper really looks fuzzy and cloudy, and the triple pull tabs and triple Nike branding on the insole goes dummy

Nike Unveils the KD 12

the KD line gets an upgrade.

The Kevin Durant line has easily been one of the most consistent portions of Nike’s basketball line. With popularity growing with the Kyrie line and the Paul George line, it seems like the KD line has slowed down. And here we are, in Year 12 of the Nike KD.

The KD 12 feature full length Nike Zoom Air and four way Flywire for support. The selling point on the KD 12 is the changes to the strobel, which is the portion of the inside of the shoe that separates your foot from the cushioning in the shoe. With the KD 12, Leo Chang, Senior Creative Director of Nike Basketball Footwear, has stitched the Air Zoom Bag to the upper, lessening the disconnect that the athlete has had with the cushioning system in the past.

Not stated by Leo Chang or by Nike, but you can see a change of shape in the KD line over the years. KD’s used to be slimmed down, low profile basketball shoes. But in recent memory, and especially with the KD 12, you can se them get bulked up, this shoe in particular reminded us of the Kobe 1.

release details.

The Nike KD 12 will begin to release April 1st with the “90s Kid” colorway, and this “Day One colorway is set to release on April 6th. Expect to see these at every Footlocker, Champs, and Finish Line in your local mall.

Nike & sacai Link Up For This Year’s Wildest Release

The Waffle and the Blazer reworked

We at Daily love reworked versions of classic shoes. And clearly you do too. Virgil’s Off-White and Nike collaboration has turned heads and overall shook the sneaker community. Now Nike has linked up with sacai to rework the Nike Blazer and the Nike LDV Waffle.

This collection with feature two different silhouettes with two colorways each, adding up to 4 different shoes. The collection basically doubles elements of they shoe. With the Waffle, you get two Nike Swooshs, two tongues, each panel is also doubled. One colorway is labeled as Gusto Green, with Safety Orange and Varsity Maize accents. The other colorway is a Varsity Blue, with Red and Yellow Accents.

The reworked Blazer is intriguing. It also features the double Swoosh and the double tongue. It also features two sets of laces on the shoe, and the panel on the back of the shoe is set HUGE. There is a Black and University Blue colorway, as well as a Varsity Maize, Navy, and Red colorway.

Collaborations help push brands forward. It allows more creativity and can allow creatives show different elements of a shoe, that maybe the manufacturing didn’t know could be exploited and played with. sacai did just that. The double panels, double Nike Swoosh’s, and even the double laces on the Blazers just look crazy. and something about that excites me. Im glad they also added the Waffle to this. The Waffle is where all this started, and to see it get reworked is enticing. The colorways are loud, as they should be. A shoe this crazy needs to be loud. This reminds me of the undercover and Nike React Element 87’s. Obnoxious, yet fitting. Count me in on this sacai, I like this.

release details.

Look for this whole collection to release April 19th, 2019 at very select Nike retailers, Nike.com, and the SNKRS app. I don’t think these will be easy to get, but keep your fingers crossed.
