The Nike SB Dunk Low Grateful Bears pays homage to the 1973 dancing Grateful Dead Bears album cover art. Bob Thomas’s Grateful Dead Bears is a series of stylized dancing bears as part of the back cover for the album History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One Bear’s Choice in 1973. This collaboration will have multiple colorways as a follow up to the Three Bears pack from 2006. The first Grateful Bear is featured in a Green and Blue color scheme. The shoe consists of fuzzy, faux fur upper with suede overlays and a jagged Swoosh as a nod to the bear’s jester collars. Followed by, a stash packet behind the tongue to store your special belongings atop a Green midsole and Blue rubber outsole to complete this design.
The Grateful Dead Yellow Bear is set to release in July 18th exclusively at FTC skateboarding in San Francisco. Both the “Green Bear” and “Yellow Bear” will release on July 24th at select skate shops and Nike.com. Stay tuned with DailySole as more details emerge.
