The petition thus far has garnered 2.5 Million signatures and counting. Though it’s unlikely the NBA would go as far as changing their logo to honor Kobe Bryant passing, as it has been the same since 1971. Die-hard fans across the nation think otherwise. Kobe Bryant career expanded over a 20-year span playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, with accolades that comprised of; 5x NBA Championship, 2x NBA Finals MVP, NBA MVP, 18x NBA All-Star, 4x NBA All-Star MVP, 11x All-NBA First team, 2x All-NBA Second Team, 2x All-NBA Third Team, 9x NBA All-Defensive First Team, 3x NBA All-Defensive Second Team, 2x NBA Scoring Champion, NBA Slam Dunk Contest Champion, and NBA All-Rookie Second Team.
The devastating news that claimed the lives of Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter, and 7 others came in on January 26th after reports of a helicopter crash in Calabasas California. The group had been flying to a traveling basketball game in which Bryant was meant to coach. Since then, fans, family and former teammates from all over have been mourning differently to honor Bryant’s legacy.
