Chares Barkley’s iconic Nike Air Max CB 94, which he wore while playing for the Phoenix Suns in 1994, has been making headlines this year and will likely continue to do so until 2024. Nike will bring back the iconic “Varsity Purple” and “Triple Black” hues later this year, while the classic “Old Royal” pair is slated to return in the spring of 2024.
Recently re-released for 2021, the Nike Air Max2 CB 94 Old Royal is set to re-enter the retail market in 2024, featuring a striking mix of White, Black, and Old Royal. White leather is used for the upper, and ventilation holes are punched. The black mesh tongues, lining, and other details stand out dramatically against this backdrop. Particularly eye-catching is the splash of color provided by the Old Royal accents on the Air-cushioned midsole, inner tongue lining, and bootie. The design is completed with a long-lasting black rubber sole that meets aesthetic and functional needs.
