The highly acclaimed “Hot Lava” Air Tech Challenge 2, which gained significant popularity via its association with Andre Agassi in the 1990s, is scheduled to reemerge with much anticipation in the fall of 2024.
The most recent appearance of this iteration of the “Hot Lava” release was in 2019. Phantom, Hot Lava, Black, Silver, and Pale Ivory make up the color palette of this specific edition. The shoes have a white leather sole with perforations on the outside sides to increase ventilation. The eye-catching Hot Lava accents enhance the sidewalls, Swoosh logos, tongue branding, and inner tongue lining. Black and gray are used sparingly throughout, while white prominently features Nike Air embroidery on the heels. The bright colors on the rubber outsole complement the exposed Air unit in the heel, which enhances the shoe’s already impressive level of cushioning.
Expect the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 Hot Lava to drop at select Swoosh Brand shops and Nike.com in Fall 2024, as shown in the images below. Retail is set for $240.
